At Redemption Hill Church, we are reformed, gospel-centered, continuationist, complementarian, and missional. These five core values act as foundations that shape and guide who we are as a church. We desire to live according to God’s design as a community on mission with the good news about Jesus in the power of the Holy Spirit, trusting God to save his people from sin for his fame and the renewal of our city.
On the basis of the Scriptures alone, we believe that salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone, for the glory of God alone. God has marked out a people for mercy from every tribe, tongue, and nation—we are glad recipients of his marvelous grace.
It’s all about Jesus. From beginning to end, the Bible points us to the amazing reality that God has been merciful to sinners in Jesus. By his grace, we want to display God’s glory by celebrating, proclaiming, and living the gospel as a community of believers by the power of the Holy Spirit.
To do what Jesus has commanded us to do as his followers, we need power. Thankfully, God himself provides this power through the Holy Spirit who lives in every believer to empower them for life and mission and who gives supernatural gifts to build up the church, just as He did in the book of Acts.
Men and women, while different, are both created in the image of God to display the glory of God by reflecting the relationships of Christ to the church. According to God’s good design, men and women play complementary roles in the church and the home. Both men and women are created by God equal in dignity and persons, but distinct as male and female.
We believe Jesus has sent the whole church to do the whole mission of making disciples to the ends of the earth until he returns. Embracing our identity as sent by Jesus is essential to understanding that all of life (at work, at home, on our block, in our church community) is mission.
